Efforts of Iran’s late president has boosted ties with its neighbors

Based on the most recent information, Iran’s trade with neighboring countries has increased by 15% in just 2 months. Iran’s official trade data indicates a 15 percent increase in the export of non-oil products to neighboring countries during the first two months of the current Persian year.

According to IRIB, Iran’s exports of non-oil goods reached 23.5 million tons in the same two months, with a total value of $8.0 billion, showing a 3.77 percent increase in value and an 8.54 percent increase in weight.During that time, the country imported goods worth $9.1 billion, totaling 5.8 million tons, showing a 9.19% increase in value and a 13.29% rise in weight compared to the previous year.

As per the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran surpassed $9.2 billion in trade with 15 neighboring countries from March 20 to May 21, marking a 15 percent rise from the same period last year.Iran has sent $4.9 billion worth of goods to 15 neighboring countries, showing a 25 percent increase from the same time last year.Iran has purchased $4.3 billion in goods from neighboring countries during the same period.The largest increase in Iran’s exports is attributed to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.Iran’s non-oil trade achieved a total value of $54.6 billion during the initial two months of the current Iranian calendar year.
